Representatives of Azoty Group at field workshops in Bałcyny
Defining the agricultural and economic efficiency of spring fertilizing, comparing the effectiveness of liquid fertilizers to conventional ones, but first of all becoming acquainted with the existing effects of conducted experiments – these were the points of the field workshops in Bałcyny. The workshops were organized for regional representatives of Azoty Group (REP), trade and marketing representatives of Azoty Group Puławy and Agrochem Dobre Miasto.
The workshops were conducted on 15th June 2015 at the Experimental – Production Plant in Bałcyny, unit of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. The main point of the event was becoming acquainted with the existing effects of conducted experiments, which began in August 2014.
The aim of the field experiments is defining agricultural and economic efficiency of fertilizing winter rape, winter wheat and corn with ammonium nitrate – urea solution RSM® containing macro components (P, Mg and S). That is why the liquid fertilizers used in the experiments are produced in Azoty Group Puławy: RSM®, RSM®S and RSM® with F and Mg. Then their effectiveness was compared to effectiveness of conventional fertilizing with solid fertilizers such as PULREA®, PULAN® and to control fields without spring nitrogen fertilizing. The research project will be conducted for 3 years. Just then there will be possible to draw exact and significant conclusions.
The first part of the meeting was held at the experimental fields, where all the participants were able to acquaint with the level of winter wheat, winter rape and corn cultivation. The second part of the event covered the lectures about the assumptions of the research project and the rules and fertilizing effectiveness as well as cultivation technology of winter rape in Poland. The above lectures were conducted by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn representatives.
The research are part of the RSM® demonstrative project which aim is to dredge and promote the knowledge about using liquid fertilizers based on RMS®. The project is conducted within the frameworks of the Puławy Competence Center, coopering with the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and Agrochem Dobre Miasto.
Azoty Group PUŁAWY has been for many years investing in produced fertilizers field research. The earlier significant research project of Puławy Competence Center and agricultural institutes from Poland, Czech Republic and Germany was MEGAPROJEKT, within the frameworks of which there were field research conducted in three countries during 2009 – 2012 . The project’s effect was the assumption of production and economic effects of fertilizing winter wheat, winter rape and corn with solid and liquid fertilizers containing sulphur.
