The mission of the PUŁAWY Competence Center is to provide additional benefits to the agricultural market participants.

Nearly 60 participants, two debate days, presentations and discussions about modern fertilization techniques and agricultural advisory services – these were the main features of conference “Exchange of knowledge about the advanced management of nutrients, precision farming” in Szymbark. Above conference was attended by Zenon Pokojski Ph. D and Prof. Janusz Igras Ph. D. Eng.

The event held on 9th and 10th June was organized within the framework of “Baltic Deal Bridge” project (Cooperation of Baltic countries). Participants were invited to Education and Local Promotion Center in Szymbark (pomorskie province). The Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, Radom Division was the organizer.
After the launching out, representatives of Puławy Competence Center appeared as the first. Zenon Pokojski Ph. D and Prof. Janusz Igras Ph. D. Eng. presented sustainable management of nutrients and innovations in the industry and agriculture. They also introduced conference participants’ with Puławy Competence Center’s activities and its main projects.


“Baltic Deal Project” is an initiative sponsored by the Swedish Institute. It is a continuation of “Baltic Deal” project’s achievements. Its aim is to hold and strengthen platform of knowledge exchange as well as demonstrative farms to diminish looses of fertilizers in a sustainable way.  “Baltic Deal Bridge” covers 24 partners from 10 countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Poland. Project focuses on three main points: management of nutrients, including precision farming and recycling; artificial swamps and melioration, activities and invitations environmentally friendly, and at the other hand  economically profitable. Numerous activities, meetings and conferences as well as analysis and reports connected with crucial activates are expected to appear. Leader project partner is Federation of Swedish Farmers. Polish part is represented by the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, Radom Division. 340 000 EUR is the total budget of the project. Project will be held during 2014 – 2016.
