Start of enrolment for the IVth edition of postgraduate studies for agricultural advisors

Competitiveness, modernity, sustainable and conscious production as well as direction towards pioneer solutions in fertilizing techniques – that is how Polish agriculture looks like nowadays and that is how it may be given as a role model for other countries. Development of the Polish agriculture influences also  the choice of specialists in the scope of agricultural  advisory. The PUŁAWY Competence Centre has just started an enrolment for the fourth edition of postgraduate studies titled “Tornover of fertilizers and plant protection measures in the sustainable agriculture system”.

The postgraduate studies are organised in cooperation with the Agriculture and Biology Department of Warsaw University of Life Sciences. This is the first direction in Poland of this kind, dedicated to agricultural advisors. From the beginning the studies have been very popular and this is the reason why already its fourth edition will begin this spring.

The modern agriculture is more and more demanding which is due to a systematic technological and chemical progress. The effective management of agricultural production demands a complex and specialised knowledge which participants of the agricultural market are aware of. – says Zenon Pokojski Ph. D., the coordinator of the PUŁAWY Competence Centre, and prof. Jan Łabętowicz Ph. D., the manager of postgraduate studies on behalf of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences adds: – Nowadays we can see that on the Polish market there is a huge need for a highly qualified staff having not only the marketing knowledge including the newest trends in fertilizing and plant protection but also the specialised agricultural knowledge concerning implementation of fertilizers. During our studies the students will gain a specialised knowledge both theotetical and practical.

During practical lessons which are many in the study programme, the students have an opportunity to learn about informatics tools in the scope of effective selection of fertilizers and pesticides, gain practical skills of describing fertilizing needs and learn how to calculate the rentability of their usage.

Duration time of the studies is 16 two-day meetings (Saturday, Sunday) in Warsaw and Puławy from March 2016 until February 2017.

After finishing the studies the participants will receive:

  • a diploma of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences
  • a certificate of advisory concerning plant protection measures
  • a certificate of the usage of plant protection measures using ground-based equipment

Registration of participation for the fourth edition of the studies is accepted until 30th of January 2016.
