PUŁAWY Competence Center in the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2015. Good Practices”
According to the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2015. Good Practices”, PUŁAWY Competence Center is a long-term CSR good practice. The report, which has been published by the Responsible Business Forum since 2002, is the largest review of the activities done by Polish companies which are responsible for their influence on society, environment and economy, as well as a summary of the most important issues connected with responsible business in Poland in a given year.
The 14th edition of the Report includes 130 companies which submitted their initiatives and 800 examples of socially responsible activities, which are grouped according to the seven areas of ISO 26000 standards: organizational governance, human rights, work practices, environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, social participation and local community development.
PUŁAWY Competence Center appeared in the Report as a fair operating practice, one of the areas of ISO 26000 standards, which is being applied by Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY. The first time the consortium was listed in the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2015. Good Practices” was in the year 2012. The latest edition of the report included three other CRS good practices by Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY, namely: the campaign “A Tree for a Bottle”, Social Dialogue Forum and a breeding nest of peregrine falcon.
Besides the list of good practices by various companies, the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2015. Good Practices” contains a summary of the last year’s events, which includes seventy-eight CSR initiatives, and presents research, publications and competitions connected with good practices.
Last year the Responsible Business Forum celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of partnership for Corporate Social Responsibility in Poland. On this occasion RBF presented, the first in Poland, award for people who are engaged in activities for corporate social responsibility development. One of the three laureates of the “People who changed business” award was Doctor Zenon Pokojski, Vice President of Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY board and the coordinator in PUŁAWY Competence Center. The first edition of the award under the honorary patronage of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
