200 years of Warsaw University of Life Sciences
Puławy Competence Center, supporting activities done by the members of its consortium, would like to inform about the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of Warsaw University of Life Sciences which will take place from 19th to 22nd May 2016. Grupa Azoty is one of the partners in organizing the event.
Warsaw University of Life Sciences is the oldest life science university in Poland. Its origins date back to 1816, when the Agronomic Institute was founded in Marymont (currently a district of Warsaw), and are connected with education in the field of veterinary science. This year it has been two hundred years since the Agronomic Institute started educating students on two levels: higher – for future land-stewards and governors, and basic – for qualified workers.
The main celebrations are to take place from 19th to 22nd May in the premises of Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The programme includes various and numerous shows, exhibitions and picnics as well as official ceremonies. By taking part in the events participants will have a great chance to get to know the university, its faculties, employees, students and partners.
